    Xbox Over-heats

    Hey guys,

I have been having problems with my xbox recently...it started a few months ago when I accidentally left it on all day and it overheated. It soon became a problem where it would overheat almost every hour of playing so I put a fan on it. This worked, but the other day I forgot to turn the fan on and within half an hour it over heated. Now, it overheats even with the fan on full blast. Any suggestions? (The xbox is on a shelf under the TV) It may be a little dusty inside so I blew into it and it made me choke lol.

    Help meh!

Ok I repair xboxes at a gamestore. Take it apart and clean everything with q-tips and rubbing alcohol. Take of the X clamps and get of all of the thermal paste and put new paste down. If you still have problems try loosing or tightening the screws to the clamps.

Allright...I took it apart for the first time (its been 7 years) and there was like mounds of dust lol. I think that was blocking the vents/fans. Hopefully that will do it. There was sooooooo much fucking dust in there its unreal hahaha.
