I'm hopefully going to start school soon. I'm looking to get into Automotive Tech.
Closest School to me is UTI in Chicago.
Anyone know of a good school for this? Any info would be helpful. I think it's high time I get my shit together.

i went to UTI in Exton. let me tell you this - if you want to work at a big name dealership - chevy, toyota, nissan, porsche, bmw - then it is the best place to go. if you want to work on high performance cars like i did then UTI is a waste of time. i dropped out after 6-7 months because the "recruiters" get paid commission based on how many people they get to come to school there and they will tell you whatever they need to get you enrolled. i can't tell you how many guys i talked to that were feed all different types of bullshit to get them through the door.
they are "sponsored" by snap-on (best automotive tools available) and you get a 1500 dollar voucher towards tools when you graduate which is great because a good starter set is like 2500. but it will give you everything you need to work at a dealership.

I watch for that Blame, thanks for the heads up.
High end is really what I'm looking at as well.
I pretty much want to work on cars that you see in Fast and Furious. Lol, may sound dumb, but it gets my attention, and adrenalin going. To me that's a sign to get into it.
those movies were the best ever since i watched the first one ive always wanted to have some pimped out street car, but i need to save money haha
