Which weapons need foregrips, and which dont? Heres the answer.

It's no secret (at least it shouldn't be) that along with the reduction of vertical recoil, the fore grip also increases the spread of your rounds.
Example being, i shoot 6 rounds at a wall.
Then i shoot another 6, from the same spot with a fore grip now, the last 3 or 4 rounds are going to land more randomly and not as pin-point. Decreasing your killing efficiency.

Here's how to get the most from your weapon.

Yes - It must have a foregrip due to extreme recoil.
No - It really shouldn't have one due to minimal or medium recoil
Dep - Depends on which attachments are assigned. Some might pair good with a fore grip. Others may be detrimental.

General rule of thumb, if you have a silencer, dont put a foregrip on it.
Anything else, use a foregrip.

If you see your favorite weapon above, and you do, or dont use a foregrip, give it shot and put it on or take it off.
I promise you'll notice a good difference. Just because there may be a bit more recoil, dont give up on it. I promise your killing efficiency will go up once your used to it.

Thanks for this, I am going to try your suggestion on the guns I use on a regular basis. I always use a foregrip regardless of the gun and my main ones on your list you say "no".

Honestly, I think I pretty much use the holo, supressor and foregrip on everything lol. I just didn't really know otherwise. My main ones(looking at battlelog going by most kills regardless of class):

L86A2
L85A2
M4A1
UMP
PP-19
M416

I am trying to service star both SCAR's right now though..and I really would like to really use the AUG more but it just is so different from my L8 and it throws me off. lol

Yeah the AUG is really a peculiar weapon..
As for your L8's both should use a silencer or F. Supp w/no grip. I perfer F. Supp for the fact bullet velocity doesnt change.

I love the UMP with Iron sights or a red dot, and a Silencer w/ Laser sight. I just hip fire that shiiit haha. Its also a uniques weapon. Its the highest damage PDW and the lowest all at the same time. Its good up to ten meters (about 30ft). It does full damage of 34 per shot (3hit kill). Past that the damage drops off fast doing a minimum of 11.4 (8 shot kill). I only use it on very close maps.

M416 should be a sight of choice, H. Bar and no grip... you'll love it.

Cant say much about PP-19 or M4A1. I just use the M4.

I do as well. Once I started looking at every weapon I have used, if the FG is unlocked it is equipped. LOL. (Cool sig btw)

OKay , I am going to try this out and also the AN. I always thought the UMP was just all arond good gun in any situation..but I have tried to use it lately and got annoyed. I just have my fav's in all classes but the engineer, I am constantly switching guns trying to find something. The PP-19 I used trying to complete all my assigments, and ended up doing pretty well with it lol.

And if you are in my game when I am trying this change, expect me to change into a sailor lol.

Only on weapons that have 2 different horizontal recoils. Like the M16A3. (.1 left .4 Right) But it wont on an L85A2 (.28 Left & right)
The only weapons t wont add horizontal recoil too (assault class) are
L85A2
SCAR-L
G3A3
And KH2002.
Everything else, you're right, it adds sway.
