Well it's good that they are upgrading your cable, make sure you are getting rg-6 cable instead of rg-59. A lot of homes still have the old rg-59 cable because they never anticipated for internet and satellite cable to be used in homes in the early 90s.
RG-6 can withstand the higher use of satellite and cable internet. To find out if you got good cable, get the end of the coaxial cable you have if you do have cable internet and check the stinger coming out of the end, if you can easily bend it you have old fucked up cable still, you should not be able to bend it with your finger at all. The thickness of rg-6 is about the width of a nickle, rg-59 is super thin and will bend very easily.
You can also check the outer coating of the cable and look for rg-6 or rg-59 on it, if it says rg-59 call them back and tell them to replace that shit again.
One more thing lol...a lot of times they don't replace all the cable because they are too lazy or it is hard to reach, make sure these guys are ripping out all the old cable out, what they like to do is make a small 2 foot addon out of rg-6 and put a barrell or splitter to make it look like they replaced your old cable when they just cut off a piece and made it look like they did....hope that made sense.
