Yeah it takes me a while to go back and forth from getting used to the controls. What control button layout do you guys use if any?

Default.

I tried the Legacy stick setup for 3-4 days. Talk about a bitch to learn. Immideatly when i started playing it, i could already see the advantages of having your movement spread out between both sticks instead of just the left. But goddamn, i just got tired of trying to play that way because i know eventually i would have gotten used to it, and many games dont offer that setup and it would just be a pain going back and forth.

I do really want to get ahold of Legacy controls again.. but thats advanced as fuck. Some of the best Xbox players in the world use that setup. Invert+Legacy. Its insane how precise and fast it is.

To those who fly airplanes in BF3 regularly, switch only those stick controls to legacy. Its actually way easier than default controls and it will allow you to out maneuver other players. Not to mention much much easier to aim the chain gun.

I tried switching my plane controls to legacy but I've been playing with default for so long that its really diffucult =/

I only use burst fire at long distances as well. Many people frown upon the weapon, but when I need to hit targets at close to mid range, the MTAR is amazing on full auto with a fore grip.
I have recently perma-unlocked the AN94 and think I am in love.
When the kills become hard to come by, I just let my knuckles go *SNIKT* and do some good ol' fashion Tac. Knife, WEAPON X STYLE.

For the longest time I was just all over the trigger and it worked for a bit but for a few months Ive been using burst fire and my k/d ratio is looking better although I still use full auto up close.
