I need ideas

Ok so in having a major issue here. My son keeps getting suspended from school for stuff like hitting other kids and teachers and fliping out when he gets mad. I've tried everything i can think of to straighten him out but so far no luck. Anyone have any ideas.

Maybe it's for attention? Do you spend time with you son a lot? Maybe a counselor could help if not.

I've had a lot of experience with this kind of behavior (Education degree) and all I can recommend from a teacher's point of view is that a nice conversation with your child would be good. I'm a huge believer that physical reprimands (Spanking etc.) is the worst thing you can do. Ask questions like "is anything wrong?" or "You know I love you, right?" You'd be surprised what children say.

I would have to agree with Taticz I was also a pain in the ass per say. Then I talked to a counselor once a week and it definitely improved my behavior and my life.

my teachers thought i had ADHD when i was younger. turned out i was finishing my work fast, got bored and caused trouble by "socializing" with others.

i really can't give you any kind of advice Luci because i don't have any kids. that i know of.

Well, I was the same way in HS. But I only fought when I had to. I did threaten to put the wrestling coach through the classroom door and they moved me out right quick.

But all honesty it could just be his surroundings at school. I.e. tryin to impress a girl or his buddies. It also could be he just hates school right now and doesn't want to go anymore so he's trying to get kicked out thinking that he wont have to go anymore.

Or as Snyper said, maybe somethings up and he needs to talk about it. But a little advice if I may? Don't approach the conversation as an authority figure or like the school told you to, he'll just know. Do it like his best bud and dad.

If you have tried everything you possible can Luci the one thing that has always worked for with Stewie his him getting grounded and me taking all his shit away.

So far I can say that I have raised a good kid by being stern and not giving into them when they give you the sad story or those sad puppy eyes.

If you feel bad about grounding him or giving him a good lecture you will feel even worse later down the road if you don't do something now.

I have never spanked Isaac Lucy but I do give him his lectures which he really does take serious.

I always got woooped but that is not the best way to handle kids...I speak from experience as a Father lol
