I just hope gameplay on next gen is up to par with the graphics, because right now with current gen the graphics are all nice and pretty but gameplay is fucking horrible.

Nothing that both xbox and ps3 said they would have in terms of gameplay for next gen has really happened. Do you guys remember when they said shooting games would have that real life feel to them by allowing dead bodies to lay around for ever? Or how about that ground breaking experience when playing what ever game it was that the first gen consoles didn't have?

Straight up, developers got fucking lazy with their games and took advantage of patches and updates and just sat back year after year using the same shit for every "NEW GAME" and calling it "groundbreaking" and "never seen before"...yeah ok mudder fawkers !

Perfect example, the Madden Franchise. Look what EA did with that Franchise, they completely gutted the fuck out of Franchise mode and things we had in first gen and even on systems like the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo are no longer found.

Destiny=MMO FPS. in space. with space magic. Bungie is basically basing the future success or failure of their company on this game and want to make it their next "Halo" popularity wise. It will play out over years and no 2 players will have the same in game experience.

And yes, most games are over glorified pieces of shit. unfortunately we have to accept them and that fact and play them because there isn't much else to play. case in point, Dead Island Riptide. based off of the fun and enjoyment i got from the original i bought DI:Riptide at launch. and i regret it for numerous reasons. the glitches or awesome xbox freeze that encompasses it. the best part is it was a complete copy paste with 1 new character on a new map.

another good example, MLB2k13. so glad i didn't buy that. i couldn't tell you how many XBL buddies i knew bought that and were like "where is the online leagues?". yeah they aren't any. why? because that game was never even supposed to be released. but it was. with music from 3-4 years ago and all of the exact same features and gameplay of last year minus online leagues. but it is the only baseball game on the market and i doubt it will be corrected next year. that game should sell for 25-30$. nope, 64. it's all about the money. 64 dollars for updated rosters is more like it. thing that really stuck with me was i rented it after it had been out for a month. no update upon loading the game the first time.

if one company wins the rights to produce a game, like madden, that is the only brand of football game we ever will see whether it is good or not. does anyone remember this?

both games that were probably superior to madden in ways but could not compete in the "money we have to throw at a game" category. the epsn game had a great 1st person view when you played. and the NFL fever game was the first game i EVER played on XBL along with "Counter Strike". but neither could compete with john madden and his global domination of video games. sad.

Well so far it seems to be super popular through what I've heard from some co workers and several friends. So it shouldn't have a big problem on selling enough copies between two systems and the world of gamers that were so into Halo. Not only that but also those that are just in to the MMO genre. My concern is how the new system is going to handle it....from my understanding (and that is very little in computer lingo) is that they really don't have a ground breaking technology that most of us can just get from the store or newegg.
