streaming difficulties

i am attempting to stream media on my pc but it constantly (every 10-15 seconds) stops to "re-buffer". at this point i am hardwired to my pc. my xbox is off and i can't even connect to XBL.

last night i was trying to stream and it was the same shit. around 5 am EST i was able to stream with almost no problems WiFi. but at the moment, it's like pulling teeth and again i'm hardwired.

i can't direct wire to my modem for some reason so i am wired from my router. my cache and cookies as well as history was recently cleared. i can't figure this out. can anyone help?

When is the last time you hard booted your modem , kill the power and backup to it for ten min.
