i do have a question about alaska though...
I had a guy I played basketball with from there and he said people would get there to work on the pipelines and be dressed with like 5 layers on and then by the time they leave after a few months they would be wearing shorts...
is that true?
bc I can't imagine anyone (keep in mind i'm from florida) wearing shorts in that cold of weather

If its 30 or so we do wear shorts n t-shirts after the winter has hit, hell I use to drive snogo to school at 20 degrees wearing a light sweater n shorts
5 layers is a bit excessive, most I've worn was 3 and that was at -84, with wind chill, was really shifty, I made ice bridges in that temperature for 3 weeks

It is, hottest its ever been hear that I can remember is 105, everyone was in the rivers that day swimming til dark, it was even in June so it was for like 22 hours we had pure sun heat, we just started gettin our night time back, it'll be light for maybe 4 hours on some days during the winter
