I usually avoid 300 and above servers. I like them quick and dirty, gives you more of a sence of urgency. with more, you get the oh we have plenty of time. Plus I like to change maps more than once per hour. But hey, thats me. Its your server Grits, you decide what you want it at.
well i dont want people not to play on it thats pretty pointless. i like higher tickets because theres more of chance to get back in it where as lower ones if you get rocked off the bat your fucked. it has nothing to do with urgency. it makes me run around more and get rocked.

Are you at your Xbox dashboard when you're downloading theses maps? Could also be a slow internet connection. Took my mate almost an hour to download a map pack that took me about 10 minutes
Average for my downloads is 2% per minute

If you don't have a good internet connection it is going to take you a while. I downloaded the patch for bf3 last night and it took about 7 mins.
