I have been wanting to get Forza Horizon, is it worth it?

Horizon is open world, quest type game line. Its a good game, but not alot as far as dialing in your car. Its a stock/mod type, where street racing rules. Im still disappointed in the crash mechanics, you plow 150 mph into a tree and your car looks a little messed up. Forza 3 and 4 have more of a pro racer feel, dialing in each setting, tweaking for each pony. In my opinion, each game stands on its own for what it is, a solid racer for each genre. I have been racing games for years, from the first Forza, to NFS, Turismo on my old PS2, to Midnight club. Midnight, btw, has got to be the most fun, I love driving thru downtown LA at speeds only dreamed of, which is, for us Cali drivers, more than 25 mph on the 5!
SO yes, Horizon is worth the coin. The visuals are breathtaking, as well as several Colorado sights to see. Racing is solid, drive model is good, but could have been better with importing Forzas tweaking mechanic for set ups. And you CAN drift in Horizon, it just takes practice.
I might rent it first..probably getting gamefly for games like this which you would only play for the single player.
horizon is still fun but without online drifting its worthless to ME. i will be gettin the newest NFS to fulfill my online drift needs.
