On Thursday December 20th, 2012 the Owner and Founder of the popular analog stick covers for XBOX and PS3 controllers Kenny Royer died from complications after having heart surgery due to a staff infection.
A Native Cali Boy, Kenny Royer was born in Oceanside CA.. Born with Reflux Disease at birth, 2 Nephfrectomies (kidneys removed), Total 5yrs Dialysis, 2 Kidney Transplants, Left Foot Amputation (had to cut twice), Left Pinky and Middle Finger Amputation..and much much more Kenny in his own words "I am STOKED to b ALIVE".
Since the Grip-It analog covers were introduced to gamers around 2 years ago, many people have been using them religiously on their XBOX and PS3 controllers since. Many gaming communities have made videos and posted them on youtube about their experiences with Grip-It and many claim they can no longer play without them.
Together with best friend Kawika Mcelroy pictured to the right, Grip-It covers became a household name for gamers not only in the United States but also over seas.
Best friend Kawika Mcelroy posted this on his Facebook page, "Kenneth Royer II lived a hard life. He never let his ongoing health issues get him down :-) He tought us all how strong a positive attitude can be. He passed away today. He is with our lord now. He must be soooo happy and fulfilled to be with our heavenly father. We will miss you here on earth Ken! I love you Ken".
Grip-It analog covers have without a doubt helped many gamers around the world who suffer from sweaty hands and fingers and even saved gamers a few hundred dollars by minimizing the wear and tear on the analog sticks that come from intense every day gaming.
