Anyone wanna talk automobiles?

I am a huge gearhead. I took automotive technology for two years. Motorsport performance for about a year and even spent 7 or so months at UTI Exton.

My first car was a 88 S-10 Chevy Blazer. Total piece of doo-doo, but an absolute woods beast. Best thing about it was it made it down most quad paths.

Second car was 05 Subaru WRX Impreza... What a machine man. 1 3/4 inch HKS catless up pipe, 2 3/4 inch HKS catless downpipe, 3 1/2 inch RSR GT 2 cat back. No name cold air intake. HKS Super Sequential blow off valve. 4 inch STI style carbon fiber hood scoop, STI style carbon fiber spoiler. ACT 500 ft lb torque hold clutch. 18 inch staggered powder coated black matte OZ Superleggera rims wrapped in Toyo Proxes 4's. Short throw shifter with a MOMO shift knob. WR Blue Pearl with blue interior neons under the driver and passenger seats and under driver and passenger foot area's I guess you could call it? LOL that's pretty pathetic... That bad boy shot fire and would do the meanest axis donuts in the snow haha. Can't find any of the pics of it, but perhaps that's pretty because we parted on bad terms...

Third car, I traded the Suby in for a 06 Dodge Charger... 3.5 HO V6, still fun cause it that a button to turn the traction control off and an auto stick. Never got to modify it, mostly just beat the shit out of it.

Also had a 90 Nissan 240 SX coupe. Wanted to drop a SR20DET in it, 5 speed and make it a sleeper/drifter... It had a black right front fender ( Car was gold ) and the biggest... gouge? in the passenger door ... looked like someone hit it with a giant club... Also was sittin on stealie's lol. Ended up selling it for 600 bucks.. Christmas cash... only paid like 1250 for it.

My neighbor has a 74 roadrunner is his backyard that has been sitting for about 16-20 years that he won't part ways with. DAMNIT!

First car was a 78 Ford Mustang, 4 banger. LOVED that car, but it started burning oil so bad. Moved to a Duster, Dodge Charger (90s version), Pontiac Station wagon, and I forget what was next. Family moved me into a mini van, then into a Taurus. 180000 miles and still rollin!

My gear head knowledge comes from Nascar and Forza. Outside of that, I know that you put gas in the fill port, and oil in the oil port, and how to change a battery, change a tire, and replace burned out bulbs.

I used to have a 91 Civic Hatchback with a 6 speed Prelude engine. They had to chop off the front end and add a new one to get the Prelude engine and tranny in there with a whole new suspension system as well.

It had an Iceman intake, no cat 4 inch pipe all the way back back with a dual 5 Zigen exhaust system. I had it all de-greased and removed a lot of useless shit from it, if I remember correctly it they got it down to 1500 lbs.

I had Momo seats and steering wheel, short shifter.

I used to hope on the freeway every day and just race anyone that got next to me, I remember one time racing a Camaro, maybe like a 93 or so, we raced from Corona to Temecula which is a stretch of 39 miles. It is a pretty straight freeway with lots of room to drive on, 4 to 6 lanes.

On our race we came up on a Corvette, Porsche and a Viper on the free way who went at it with us for about 17 miles or so then got off of different off ramps.

We finally got to Temecula and my radar picked up the chopper overhead looking for 2 speeding cars on the freeway. We finally got off and met up at an In n Out where we chilled for about an hour and talked about our cars.

Who won? No bullshit, I had maybe a good 1/4 mile lead on him the whole way through, he only caught up to me when I was getting off the freeway to get to the In n Out Burgers stand.

During a good 20 miles I was hitting 145 on the freeway , thanks to Pirelli Tires who worked with us when I was with Niche Tires and Wheels for the great grip on that freeway.

I got my license suspended maybe 3 months after that for getting 15 tickets from January to April. I waited about a year to get my license back and got the letter I was eligible to get it back. I had no one to take me to the court to get my abstract from the court and decided to take my Civic out.

On the way to the court just around the corner, maybe 200 yards away a fucking cop pulls me over. I was already warned and banned from driving in Moreno Valley by asshole cops and I got stopped. He recognized my car, called the tow company, had my car impounded for 30 days and I couldn't get the money to get it out.

I was sent a letter in the mail that my car would be sold at an auction for 3800 the cost of the impound, I had a friend go to the auction to try and buy the car back but hew was too late, someone had already started the paperwork for it.

After 3 years and over 18,000 put into that civic some asshole got a fucking deal for 3800. I later found out who the guy was and went to his house and tried to buy my car back. I offered him 5k for it but he was stupid, he refused to sell me my hatchback back to me.

Yes I miss that fucking car a lot, I put in a lot of money into that fucker and it attracted a lot of attention. It was red with chrome niche bellas which everyone was always drooling over. Blah!

Holy lord a Civic with a Prelude engine thats awesome... I don't know much about Honda's but I'm assuming Vtec and I can't remember if thats a 6 or not... that's great though man. My best races was a close one against a 383 stroked 80's camaro (almost won) and almost beat a 2000's supercharged lightning... missed 4th...BLAH!

Yeah preludes are mostly all just 5 speeds man, I had to get this engine imported, I think I payed 8k for it. They are manually made into 6 speed, not very common especially not in stock Preludes.

I will see if I have some video or if I can find some video of the freeway drive.
