Yes, it turns out it's pretty easy to gain experience in some Spartan Ops missions in Halo 4.

Halo 4 launched with a restriction on the amount of experience points (XP) players can earn each day while playing multiplayer or Spartan Ops. 343 Industries explained why they put this restriction in place for the Xbox 360 shooter with an update on Friday.
"The daily XP cap is intended to preserve the integrity of the progression system," community manager Jessica Shea wrote on Halo Waypoint. "In other words, it’s in place to provide an early gate from players running amok in their progression. When we launched, we had a bug where double XP tokens were being consumed even when you went over the cap. That has since been fixed. In the coming weeks, we will be monitoring how many players are hitting the cap so we can respond accordingly."
With the Double XP offered for Halo 4 through Doritos and Mt. Dew promotions, some players have been ranking up quickly. Others have discovered that Spartan Ops is a way to earn points quickly and rather cheaply.
We're still trying to nail down the daily cap amount but it appears to be approximately 75,000 points.
That makes it sound like only the most dedicated of the hardcore players will be hitting the daily XP ceiling.
I played halo 4 pretty aggressively on release. Started right into multiplayer and still haven't even done much of the compaign. Never managed to hit the daily cap, so I think it's reasonable. Probably benefits the physical health of those that can literally play for 24 hours or more non-stop just eating doritos and drinking the dew haha.

I haven't played the campaign either, I will though on Legendary with my Son during Xmas vacation maybe.
I was thinking of doing that also. The multiplayer is just meh for me. I played enough on release to unlock all of the weapons and loadouts... so ranking up will just be purely for asthetics. So unless guys on here or my other buddies want to play, I don't see myself playing multiplayer aggressively. I have to at least finish campaign though!

I disagree foir the dimple fact that being a higher level gives you absolutely no game play benefit. just cooler armor and shit. Therefore, if someone wants to geek out and level to max in a week by playing 24/7, shitting in a can next to their couch, and living off mountain dew and twinkies (R.I.P.), then they should be allowed to.
