Yes, it turns out it's pretty easy to gain experience in some Spartan Ops missions in Halo 4.

Halo 4 launched with a restriction on the amount of experience points (XP) players can earn each day while playing multiplayer or Spartan Ops. 343 Industries explained why they put this restriction in place for the Xbox 360 shooter with an update on Friday.

"The daily XP cap is intended to preserve the integrity of the progression system," community manager Jessica Shea wrote on Halo Waypoint. "In other words, it’s in place to provide an early gate from players running amok in their progression. When we launched, we had a bug where double XP tokens were being consumed even when you went over the cap. That has since been fixed. In the coming weeks, we will be monitoring how many players are hitting the cap so we can respond accordingly."

With the Double XP offered for Halo 4 through Doritos and Mt. Dew promotions, some players have been ranking up quickly. Others have discovered that Spartan Ops is a way to earn points quickly and rather cheaply.

We're still trying to nail down the daily cap amount but it appears to be approximately 75,000 points.

That makes it sound like only the most dedicated of the hardcore players will be hitting the daily XP ceiling.
