It's a little sports game for the original Xbox called "Deathrow".
"Obsidian, you handsome Scot, What is Deathrow?" I hear you not ask. Well, good sir/madam, Deathrow is a sports game set in the year 2219. It centers around a sport called Blitz. What is Blitz? The ultimate combat sport. Two teams of 4 literally fight for control of a hovering disc, over 4 rounds, which they try to throw through their enemies ring to score points. What are the rules? Other than what I just mentioned, there are no rules. That's right folks, Blitz is a no-holds-barred game. You can win a match by beating the other team to a bloody pulp. Punch, kick, headbutt, even pick them up and snap their backs over your knee. Whatever you can do, you're allowed in Deathrow. After all, you're on TV! You start out with only 4 teams but it goes up to 15 teams as you progress, each with their own theme. From the Convicts, a bunch of murderers and scum, to the Marines, the best of the best of the human army. From the Sentinels, soulless killing machines, made by politicians as a way to replace the human army, to the Nukeheads, an LA gang who played Blitz illegally on the streets before being asked to compete in the official Blitz league. Each team have their own theme, strengths, weaknesses and tactics.
This game never really amassed a huge following. It sold enough to make a profit, but it never really hit any huge numbers. It wasn't really marketed much either, but it has an almost cult following. Take a look
. It should give you an idea of what the game is. The best part? This game is backwards compatible! You could probably find it on amazon for cheap. I highly recommend it to those of you who haven't touched it or heard of it.
