There are too many game modes and maps to select 3, so I'll offer up something that others aren't.
Designated Marksman Rifles
- you shouldn't be trying to have face-to-face engagements
- you shouldn't be running around too much with it
- you are looking for 2 shots to kill, maybe 3 (if not, you are probably doing something wrong, like spamming it too fast)
- 3.4x or 4x scope (good range for the engagements you should be aiming for)
- Laser sight or none (using a laser may help in accidental encounters but you don't want a laser or light giving away your position)
- Heavy Barrel (will give you better accuracy at range)
- Angled/Folding grip (will lessen that recoil of every shot)

Me and mine tend to play lots of tight, close, fast maps; and we try and stay knit and clean: here's what I use to keep up with the monsters we've got...
Prime: Silenced, always, and either a PDW-R, or Ace on assault/med. I like to use the Coyote sight, and a potato grip.
Reload safety: Swagnum, SW-40, red dot sight
Equipment 1: Medkit bag
Equipment 2: 'Fibs
Nades: Impacts, you can aim them a good bit better, and there's no time to run further.
I don't play too fast, I like to pie my corners and doors, eat my health blocks, and utilize cover as much as possible. I love the Kinect sway function for this...
Stay in contact with your battle buddy and move forward like immortal fury!
Pondered upon a rainy plateau, with a coal forge, and many dragon.

For assault recently:
M16A4 with kobra/angled fore grip/silencer (sometimes I detach the silencer especially when defending for rush)
Secondary: 93R with ghost ring/muzzle break.
Gadget one: med bag (I always have this on my left d pad because it is closest to my thumb and it is what I use most.same rule for all my classes/gadgets)
Gadget 2: defibs! Gotta keep the front line alive!
Perksffensive (because I need the extra magazines)
Play style with this class: the m16a4 is terrible for surprised close range encounters. It almost feels like it jams on you. It's not the best for it an automatic is much more reliable.
Mid range to long range is where this gun dominates. I can also destroy head glitchers with ease.
The reload is also fucking nasty having I think the fastest or one of the fastest reload in game??

Also I use minis or the frag. You will here me rage if I ever get killed by impacts. I HATE THEM because grenades should be used tactically in a shooter like this.
For example how grenades should be used : you see a bad guy in cover. You throw a nade in there for either two things to happen. It flushes him out and makes him vulnerable and results in a fire fight which IS GOOD or the guy eats the grenade and dies either from lack of awareness or low health as he may take some damage while running away.
This is dice: fuck this idea of promoting gun play were going to make it where there is no fuse and it just instantly blows!
But sir doesn't that sound a little op? No because were not going to make the damage on this nade a 100 percent. Oh that makes sense. (Ten seconds later). The same guy who put commander mode in rush raises his hand and says let's give them two RGO impacts and better yet let's make a perk that gives you three grenades from the get go so you can chuck them for days!!!!
I don't think of anybody lesser for using them but just hate the fact that there in the game.
