Call of Duty just did a live video on twitch talking about the new game with some of the developers/designers/etc.

I just finished watching it and there was some good info discussed.


The premise of the story/game is based around the money is up in space so armies are fighting over control to be the rich power house of the economy. This ultimately means that the rich power house is trying to put constrains on the ground life on planets so that they can't have the resources to over take space.

Things to take directly from the talk:
Combat (single player):
Boost on ground and zero gravity missions, convertible spaceships air fighting.

Combat (multiplayer):
Boost on ground. Advanced movement (by the way they were talking it didn't seem like something to crazy, my guess would be like stuff like, a roll dodge instead of the slide in bo3, higher jumping then normal humans, and maybe faster running but that's all guessing)

Maps (single player):
Earth
Space (inside ships, outside in 0g using grappling hooks)
Other planets

Maps (multiplayer):
Earth
Space (inside ships)
Other planets

Game play info:
They mentioned something about a map where you are on an out of control astroid flying close to the sun, in the sunlight it is +2000°, in the shade is -200°. If you are not under cover you will burn up. This was explained as a single player mission but nothing towards a multiplayer map was mentioned, still could be a possibility.

CoD4 Remastered:
They talked a little bit about it but nothing that wasn't already leaked. They did show some pictures of the updated graphics and if I find them I will post them here.

Zombies:
On the stream, Infinity Ward’s Project Director Brian Bright talked about the zombies mode and stated “its own completely different universe apart from Infinite Warfare” and will be separate from Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games’ zombies modes.
He followed up to state that there will be easter eggs and they are taking it “even one step further.”

Can anyone explain chain based movement?

That basically means, "allowing the player to move through the environment with finesse, using controlled thrust jumps, (blah blah blah) all the while having full capability of your weapons.

Sorry, I blah blahed over wall running, sliding, swimming, etc...

well if it's nothing crazy and just sliding then hurdling a wall I won't see a problem

I forgot to mention the next big announcement for the game will be at E3 in June (14th-16th)

Most likly. Why would they not include a massive renevue for them. Hopefully they allow season pass holders to get the DLC content included, that would be the smartest way to please everyone.

Also wouldn't be suprised if extra MP maps for CoD4 were DLC also. Thought there's no mention right now if there are more than 10.

I've purchased both for X1 & PS4 why because COD4 is what brought me into Online Multiplayer ... It's the only game
on Xbox where I nearly completed all of it's achievements. I'd replay the campaign again in HD ... Looking forward to this
game.

A little more info about the new game..

That big ship we see at the end of Nuk3town right now is called "Retribution" and is the player's home base for campaign mission. It is going to be the home base for the players crew and will be "a key character" which you will have to "rely on and be responsible for"

The fighter jet you see in the trailers are called the "Jackal" which is customize-able and upgrade-able throughout the campaign. It “can transform between atmospheric flight mode and zero-G flight mode for when you have to dogfight in the vacuum of space.”

Ground to space fighting with little to no loading screens:
Specifically, he said, “you can be boots on ground, fighting through the streets of a city on earth, call down your Jackal, get into it, fly up through the atmosphere, engage in a dogfight over the orbit of earth, finish that dogfight, land on the deck of the carrier, get into the carrier, go up to the bridge, and order your ship to go to the next mission and all of it happens seamlessly with no loading screens.”

Campaign news:
Infinite Warfare’s campaign will feature side missions alongside the main story that will provide players with in-game rewards.

“We are telling a linear story, but along the way you can choose to attack targets of opportunity, and attacking those targets of opportunity will reward you with various items and progression and loot elements that will help you to accomplish the next main mission that you accept from command, they will also reveal optional elements of the story.”


Story line news:

“The approach that we’ve been taking with this game… the inspirations don’t come from sci-fi or space in any way”
"there are no aliens in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. It’s all man vs. man."

I'm sure most people will, it dose seem different but from how the developers are talking it seems like they pushed the concept but kept it true enough to where everyone will like it.

And if not, at least you have a good looking COD 4 to play :P

Details about campaign mode:

• Infinity Ward has done a lot of work to make sure the title still feels like a Call of Duty game.

• Not all missions involve zero gravity environments; there are missions on the ground in space stations, Earth, asteroids, and more.

• Game features new equipment; trophy system returning, works as a defense mechanism for ships too.
• Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is a new sub brand for Call of Duty; completely different story and setting than Call of Duty: Ghosts. New cast, characters, and more.
• Players will play as Lt. Reyes in the campaign; he becomes a Captain as the game goes on. Being a leader, Reyes makes decisions that previous Call of Duty title protagonists didn’t.

Cool jimbo, thanks for the info. In the video from the first post they do show a glimpse of some of the new maps. I'm suprised no one has made a side by side yet as they showed the old then the new in exactly the same spots.

So recently there has been a few people (COD Casters/Pros) who have tweeted out that they went to IW's Studios and were able to play COD:IW multiplayer..

Most of them said the same thing (most likely told by activision):
"Got to play the multiplayer, felt great"

Only one person gave us a slight hint as to how it actually is:
"Played a little bit of #InfiniteWarfare last week at @InfinityWard and can say if you enjoy Bo3 you'll feel right at home with this game :)"


Seems like it's going to be another jetpack/ boosting game for sure.

What people don't understand is that these people make a living off making games. Activision is their boss which means they tell them what to do when the game comes out. People have always said "they want a different" cod well it came and people still complain on Reddit. I also understand people have their opinions but I'd say give the game chance atleast.

Ya wonna know why I like COD because I'd rather roll with 5 CAG bros and fuck shit up and watch people get mad. Then again their bringing back COD 4 probably the greatest campaign in CODs history.
