Small Request.

Hey guys I have 2 small requests.

1 If you are going to post on a recruit application please post the canned reply. I am finding that a member has posted on the applications but there has been no canned reply so the post while nice dose not help the recruit getting going on marksman and with correct group.

2 can we add console and game to the canned reply name so that everyone knows whats what so that they can post the canned reply and not use the excuse I wasent sure which one to use.

i feel that. i threw up the one for one dude, and i hope it was the right one, because it was over 7 hours, no one got to him and he was posting on the boards wondering what was goin on.

those replies should be made "idiot proof" in the name so ANY member can give ANY applicant the CORRECT reply and thus people can't possibly be missed with so many people watchin.

Its all good I was just going through apps that I had not seen yet an a few had posts but no canned reply.

a long time ago there was sort of a "if that ain't your game don't throw up their reply" sort of vibe, at least i felt (but hey im retarded). sometimes people threw it up for BF when it was Easy Co and then would apologize and i'm like "nahhh your doin me a favor" lol. that's really how it should be. for how many people can see apps there should be little-to-no reason for an app to be up for 7 hours without getting the info they need.

It dosent matter to me who puts the canned reply up. It is more important that the recruits get the info. If someone puts it up for me that great just means the recruits can get started sooner. Thats why I would really like to see the console and game in the names for the replies. That way anyone can look there and post it up. Like I said the whole point is to get the info to the recruit.

I have messed up and put in the wrong canned replies before, so what I do is, if someone hasn't gotten back to a recruit, I just send them a message and let them know to hang tight and someone will get with them shortly.

I've seen this done a lot and just followed suit, and got the same vibes as Blame, as far as, if it ain't your game don't put up the canned reply.

But I see where you're coming from.

As far as I see it if your trying to help then your doing good.

Yeah, thats what Im here for my friend. Im starting to figure out that Kilo is XB1, bravo is 360, and GOLF is of course PS, and Whiskey is BF and so on. Lol at least I think that's correct.

Alpha is 360 cod
Bravo is x1 cod

haha see what I mean? So I definitely agree that the canned replies should be fool-proof and have the consoles associated with them be visible for people like me that get it confused.

The next thing that I would like you to look through and read is our Code of Conduct (again hyper-link to page). We hold this in a higher regard than the Chain of Command. These are the fundamentals of what we all stand for as CAG DOGGS. You follow these Codes and it will better your experience here. There will be somethings they will need to tell you before you become a full fledged member. Until then please make your self comfortable here. Maybe even introduce (there should already be a thread with your name under this sub-forum) yourself to the whole clan. We are a multi system and game community here, and we consider everyone a part of our CAG family. You can meet a lot of people on the site (even in our chat bar).

You will be asked to utilize this page for any questions or concerns. Below are some of those things you will need after your sponsor gets with you. First off, how to post your marksman games will be the first thing that is covered.

To begin you need to find this page COD Marksman. Next you will click on a option that will look like +Post New Thread. Next you will be taken to a new page, and on this page you will have to make a title for your post and a body. Now this is the crucial part. If you mess this up you WILL have to redo it. In your title please put your Username on the site followed by the work Marksman. This will ensure those that verify your games, and those that verify awards, will be able to find easily. Again if you don't do this correctly you will have to start all over again. Now for you body of the message. Read the following for the explanation:

15-4 (K/D ratio)
Stonehaven (Map)
CAG Silent (Full CAG member to confirm game)

After you post this kindly remind the person that will confirm your game to PLEASE do so. This will be the same format for all of your weapon badges.

The next tidbit of information is on how to change your profile to match our Company. We have a Main Roster that has filtering options. One of these will be Company or Platoon. This will show you all of the members that have updated their profiles to show they are in Alpha Company. If you would please follow these instructions as follows:

Scroll up to the top of the page
Then access the Settings page
Next you will be taken to a page that shows your personal referral link
Look to the left hand side of the page and you will see an option to Edit Profile
Once you click on that you will be taken to page where you edit many things dealing with your profile
Scroll down and you will see a option to pick what headset you are using
Shortly after that you will see an option to change your COMPANY/PLATOON/SQUAD
For now you will need to only select the Company (which will be ALPHA)
Your sponsor will inform you when you will have to finish changing the rest of it.

For the next 14 days you will be evaluated for your level of commitment to CAG. This period is for us to get to know each other, and decide if you are a good match for us and for you to decide if we are a good match for you. Please do your absolute best to accept all game invites from CAG members, as they will be trying to assist you in completing your requirements. If you cannot accept, please send a message stating so, that way they are not waiting around.

As a recruit you will use "cagr" as your in game clan tag. As you earn each one of you Marksman Badge requirements you will capitalize a letter in the clan tag, ie "Cagr" "CAgr"CAGr" "CAGR". This is to let the people in the lobby know if you need help getting the rest of your Marksman Badge requirements or if you are finished with them, but it is your responsibility to let them know if you are finished or not.Please make sure to always wear your clan tag, this is an important part of becoming a CAG Dogg.

You will also have to earn your Marksman Badge within these 14 days to receive your Dogg Ribbon to become an official member of CAG.

Marksman Badge Requirements

1. Choice of AR, SMG, Marksman Rifle, or LMG and load out.
2. Must have at least 15 kills and no more than 10 deaths 5 times
3. No team kills are allowed.
4. No killstreak rewards allowed or explosives.
5. Must be paired off with a full member of CAG to confirm requirements are met.

(MUST HAVE 5 GAMES TO EARN MARKSMAN)

Note: Once you have hit the requirements for each badge in a game, only then can you use killstreaks/scorestreaks but you "Must" stay under the allowed deaths per badge requirement. You can post these 1 at a time or write them down and post them all at 1 time. That is your choice, but make sure the people confirming them know when you post them so they can do what they need to do. At the end of your 14 day recruitment period, if you have earned your Marksman Badge and we feel we are a good fit for each other, your Dogg Ribbon and your Marksman Badge will be recommended. 2. Every recruit is required to change their clan tag on Battlelog to (CAGr) so we know who is a recruit and to complete their marksman qualification. This is your initiation, in other words, and must be completed within 2 weeks of your application date.

-350 KILLS IN ANY GAME MODE
-MUST BE WITH A FULL MEMBER TO CONFIRM
-NO EXPLOSIVES OR VEHICLES ALLOWED

4. The Dogg ribbon & The Marksman will be awarded in 2 weeks. This is a probationary time that you must continue to show interest and be active, not simply become a member and stop participating. During the 2 weeks, you must be active on the forums, with at least a post count of 25.
**NOTE - For a post to be counted, it must be at least 200 characters. **

5. As our forums are a huge part of the clan we also suggest that if you own a smartphone to download the app TapaTalk as it is a excellent forum tool for staying in touch wherever you are.

If I dont list them out I mix them up as well.

It usto be that only the squad would reply. No one else. But there is not a problem with other people helping out.
As for putting the games into the canned reply I can do it by the names but we're alpha so we're all of call of duty.

Who ever created the canned replies or if you can update the canned reply please add the Company in the Tittles ...I asked for the canned replies to be updated about a week ago and this should of been one of the things updated

Reaper ...you can now edit the canned replies yourself if you want my Man ...

Kilo is Destiny by the way .... everything else was right on ...

I'm not quite sure how to edit the canned replies, Cheech, or I'd go ahead and do it to save some time.

But Reaper is pretty much on top of things, so I don't see it taking long for him to get it done.

To edit the canned replies you go to "Settings" from the very top of the page and look on the left hand side and you will see the "canned replies" menu link ...

Alright, let's give it a shot in the mouf.

I made the destiny one Kilo, as it just said Destiny. So i labeled it Kilo Company Welcome - Destiny: XBox 360 & XBox One.

I left the things alone that I had no clue about, so you might want to go through the others and see what is out of date and what needs to be updated. But for the most part, they are all updated with the correct consoles and games.

Isn't Titanfall an Xbox Exclusive? I left World of Tanks alone. I only filled in the ones I knew 100%.

Na it's all love here man, I understand where you're coming from buddy.

I just meant to tell you what I did personally, and that I saw some things that might be out of date or not even needed anymore in the canned replies. I just want to keep everyone on the same page as to what I've done and to not cause confusion.

You're like me, man. You want the best for this place since it's given us a place to escape and be able to lay back and live in a Computer generated world for a short time. I appreciate that. I am here to help and will do so on anything that I am capable of.

I agree I think there are a few replies that can be deleted as well.

What is the status on this?

The changes were made to make it easier to identify the consoles and games. At some point we just need to get rid of the old \ unused replies.
