I think that they should make SOCOM for every console not just Playstation since it's clear that Zipper completely fucked SOCOM up with SOCOM 4....

BEYOND!

Zipper definitely fucked up SOCOM in a major way. They had good intent and it started out ok but nose dived shortly after. This really upsets me because SOCOM is probably my favorite game series out there. I hope they give it redemption and have a comeback. I agree with making it console wide instead of solely playstation. Good way to broaden their fan base.

@ Gemini328 - I honestly only bought the PS3 for SOCOM: Confrontation because I was so in love with all past SOCOM games. When SOCOM 4 came out Bro, I seriously was pissed off beyond belief ... it was the worst fucking game ever! The hit detection was a spitting image of COD's, you could kill someone and not even hit them anywhere. SOCOM in the past was a game that required accuracy, in SOCOM: Confrontation it veered off a bit and they made it a lot easier for just anyone to pick up the game and play it but it was still tolerable ... but SOCOM 4 man, oh they really fucked that game up!

I agree 100%. It was COD meets Drakes Fortune. I only got the ps3 for socom confrontation as well. I feel like they were heading in the right direction with it, but could of done better. Socom 4 is the ugly red headed step child of the socom franchise.

I seriously hope they take the wishes of the fans into consideration and re-vamp socom 2 for the new consoles. by far the best socom in my opinion. I saw they were doing a poll to see if enough people would support a socom 2 hd. hadn't heard anything about it since.

What do you think about the H-Hour concept? I think it has some major potential and can do the franchise some justice as long as they don't totally try to over do it

Yah this game may just make me get a ps4. I may even get my ps3 back from my brother for some confrontation action

I'll tell you one thing if they made a new SOCOM I would already have it pre ordered and paid for for the Xbox one

That's the biggest problem would be them bringing it to the Xbox. Socom is a huge Sony provider and they don't support Microsoft in the slightest

Well they need to , it means more money for them .

yah i know it does and it would expand and probably provide the revenue to continue the series and it would be EPIC! but i just dont know that they would

Where it all started for me as far as online gaming goes with the Classic socom best shooter ever IMO...... 3 to 6 hours in clan wars draw after draw......socombattles.com before it was gamebattles.com!!

Socom started it all.. no respawns,tac-talk,real strategy..I don't know what I miss more,playing Socom..or talking to the friends I had in game.

I could not agree more with what you said. One of the first games in the business that really instilled trust amongst teammates. The second you doubted your team and moved positions you were torn apart

CAG then "Red Cell" starting and coined the phrase "Camping" ... We had hundreds of members in RC and everyone wanted to be a part of it ... Playing 3 hour long games of last man standing is what I miss the most ...

I remember Red Cell.

Id love to hear more about "Red Cell" surrounding the history before CAG became CAG Cheech.Sounds really interesting and intriguing

I will probably put together another article and give you guys some more details and stories about Red Cell ... oh Man just thinking of the people I met during and after Red Cell and the amount of people who broke away "mutinied" against Red Cell and created their own clan.

Red Cell was something else and way ahead of it's time ... If I had the knowledge then that I have now regarding web design and money I could of created something even bigger ... but then again CAG might not of been what it is now ...

I figured it would definitely be worth an new Thread detailing it all as im sure if Red Cell was anything like CAG is now theres a lot of history.

You'll extensively get a reader out of myself on this topic as iv been here within the walls of CAG over 2 years and im always sticking around regardless of what crops up in future good or bad so if Red Cell is part of what came to become CAG and its formation in history id be highly interested.

Looking forward to becoming educated on our history a bit further.

I personally never ran into red cell, but I do know a few guys that probably did. But I agree, I would totally love to see a post/article about Red Cell and the origin of CAG before it was CAG

We never competed against Red Cell,but I definitely remember the name and clan.I'd like to say I remember them from the UF tourneys,but it was so long ago.I also remember some kind of beef between the people/clans that ran the UF...don't know if that's part of the CAG/Red Cell history as well.
We played in the National Socom League in the early days.then when that went belly up,we moved onto the BOH,USL,ASL, and the tounramner hosted by DirtyFeast of the ship wrecked clan(can't remember the name even though it was the most recent league [zZz] won.
