Allowing Insecure Content In Firefox 23/24 And Chrome
Ok you guys, because of idiots now adays who like to hack, infect your computers and laptops with virus and other shit like spyware and shit Firefox and Chrome have implemented a bullshit security feature in their browsers.

Because our website is hosted on an (https) protocol instead of an (http), many sites such as facebook, GameStop, TwitchTv and other websites who do not use an (https) protocol for their videos mostly, their videos will not load up on the forums because Firefox and Chrome treat it as a possible threat to you "YOU".

If you guys can't see some videos or content on the forums do the following as soon as you guys load up the forums:

Firefox 23/24
1. Click the small gray shield icon on the extreme left-hand side of the address bar, directly to the right of the "Back" button (see screenshot "Enable1" attached).
2. Next to "Keep Blocking," click the drop-down arrow and select "Disable Protection on This Page."
3. You will be taken back to the entry page of your course; navigate back to the Wimba tool and click "Enter Voice Board/Presentation."
4. Java should now load and the voice board/presentation will appear.

Chrome
1. Look for the small gray shield icon in the extreme right-hand corner of the address bar (see screenshot "Enable2" attached).
2. Click the "Load unsafe script" link.
3. You will be taken back to the entry page of your course; navigate back to the Wimba tool and click "Enter Voice Board/Presentation."
4. Java should now load and the voice board/presentation will appear.

If you guys don't want to click on the silver shield every time that you guys open up the forums in Google Chrome do the following:

Chrome for Windows
1. Right-click on the “Chrome” icon you wish to modify, and select “Properties”.
2. In the “Target” field, add the command line flag following ‘chrome.exe’ as follows: chrome.exe --allow-running-insecure-content
3. Click “OK” to save, and launch Chrome from that shortcut.
The correct line will look like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --allow-running-insecure-content

Just copy and paste the command line highlighted in red above

I will check to see if there is a setting for that ..but u should just be able to copy a videos link n paste it in a thread. ..

Me too, man. I tried to use Firefox but the way my chrome keeps everything for me and now I started using the extension for Hangouts. it just feels right.

I find the same happens to myself also,when I copy and paste onto tapatalk the vid will not play but when I access our site via another browser ie - chrome it plays no problems.
I am also doing this though my iphone majority of the time

That's what I thought man just the ability to watch a linked vid on a smart through chrome and then not be able to via tapatalk is rather weird

Do this you guys to make it default to allow mixed content to show up:

Disable Mixed Content in Firefox

To disable mixed content warnings in Firefox on your Windows 8, open Firefox, enter about:config into address bar and hit Enter.

Using the search box, search for a setting called security.mixed_content.block_active_content.
Once you have found it, double-click on it. Its value will automatically change from True to False.

Doing the above will always allow the chat bar to show up for you guys
