It's been a good while. My life has calmed down quite a bit and the health issues I had have been resolved.

Being that he left due to health reasons and on good terms ... I would say he comes back and receives his old rank, but billet might be different. He didn't do anything to lose his rank or get demoted or some other stupid shit ....he deserves his old rank bank in my opinion ...
