I have enclosed a link for news about BF4 platoons. Platoons will start being available February 27. Also new free shortcuts are available now. Premium get grenade and shotgun shortcuts. Non premium only get the grenade shortcut.

This looks awesome! I like how the platoon will score points when four or more from said platoon play together.
Question tho...will the platoon emblem be mandatory? I know it makes sense for us to all have the same emblem...it's just that I'm quite fond of my own emblem.
Also...will CAG ranking structure be applied to the platoon or the platoon equivalent?

Good question Wolf. There are some of us who play with each other more than our own squads...that's just how it works out.
Consequently, this would work well for some squads but not others.

Once the platoon comes out I'll make 1 platoon for everyone this way it won't matter what squads your in as long as we are all in one platoon and play together we will get the Platoon points

Given my choice, I wouldn't make it mandatory. Though, it does depend on how they implement it. As in, if you are in a platoon are you forced to use the platoon's emblem? Probably not but I've seen stupid before.Quote:

This also may add the ability to squad up or "platoon" up before entering a game.
