So I am in my Senior year of High School and the time has come. Where will I continue my academic career? I would like feedback on my options.
My options are:

Follow ur heart man and do what feels right for u.
Educations the rock of your younger years and ever decision u make has to be for u and u alone.its what will mould u into the person that u are inspiring to be.
I know if I could turn the clock back and do things differently I would.there were a few decisions that I would change that I made back then due to influence of others.
Whatever u choose I wish u the best of luck destroyer and study hard man, they're the best years of ur life.no ties,no bills,no need to work full time enjoy it man!

i'd go somewhere where making the trip home isn't a dread on fridays. coming home to familiar faces can be a life saver in that first year.

The fatherly-advice version:
Schools tend to be known for and possibly better at training people in certain fields of study. If you want a medical degree versus an engineering degree, your list of probable schools would look different.
So, if you have at least a general understanding of what you might like to study, you should consider the school's reputation for teaching that.
The friend version:
Where are you likely to have the most fun, the best experience? Difficult to advise not knowing about the schools or the towns they are in.

Kentucky Schools, eh...where are you located there, ponch?
It also depends on what you want to do. Then you have to look at the programs offered and even more importantly what other people say about said programs.
For example, I live in So IL, if you want to get say a certificate in cooking or whatnot, you do not go to the college that is about 10 mi away, (John A Logan College) you go to Rend Lake College in Ina, IL. That is roughly 40 min from here. Drive is more but the program is much better. So what do you want to do?

An hour from Western.

First you have to go to the campuses and there's a certain feeling that you know what school you want to go to. Also they have a great career path for you in that major..Ex. Internships and future job..Thats how I came to my school and had the athletics I wanted as well.

Visit all of the schools first, buddy. You are never going to know what to pick unless you get a general idea of your options first.
-
Also don't forget man some colleges in bordering states won't charge out of state fees. Just to help keep your options open. But one hundred percent agree with phoenix. You'll never know unless you visit and walk around the campus
