Sniping - a Dismal Failure

before i get into the experiment, i have noticed that if your moving when you fire your bullet misses by what might as well be a mile so try to stand still as you take the shot. the strafe shooting really isn't an option now.

with that in mind, i did some experimenting on Rush this morning with my M40A5. i ran the 8x scope, variable zoom and straight pull bolt along with the PLD not so much for ranging but for acquiring targets which i will explain.

what i tried to do is when our team was attacking i got to a range where the the farthest MCOM was about 200-220 meters away. i would try to find a nice spot with a pretty clear view of everything. i tried to make sure i was about level with the second floor of buildings. i doped the scope for 200M and fired away. when i couldn't find a target i used my PLD as looking around with scope causes glint and gives your position away. i had some success, 8-1. our team got stopped on the second set of MCOM's otherwise i might have done better. at least 6 of the 8 were headshots, might have been 7. give this a try and see what happens. it worked for me but in the same sense it won't work for everyone.

Thank you for taking the time to write Blame...my biggest issue is not being on the front line and need to discipline myself.

I will give it more time...last night's heavy death count could have been easily avoided.

oh and heavy death count it was!!!!!!!!!! geesh the last maps on operation locker was crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

john no problems sir!! even with out a mic( it would be better) its better to stick to your squadmates.

as for sniping, i also like the 8x scope. feels better. i def can not use the russian scopes.
