the Woodshop

Here is a place to post your projects. Big or small. No matter how much of a hack job. No matter how nice. Let's see what you guys have been working on.

I will start it off, inspired by my closet bar post, with a few of my last few months work.

We had a large wall gap in the kitchen and needed something to fill it but give us storage. So I built these floating shelves after looking on the net.

Basically a 2x4 frame attached to the studs. Then build a box to slide over said frame and attach with a few screws. My wife loves it.

Here was my next project. I am not some seasoned woodworker either. I took grade 11 and 12 Woodshop /construction classes. 20+ years ago. After building the above shelves, I talked my wife into letting me buy some tools with some of our profits from the sale of our previous home, so I could make a few of the other things we needed around the house. Buying cheap garbage is not my style, better to make shit yourself.

Bought a compound mitre saw, table saw, jigsaw, sander, and a bunch of hand tools.

I needed a work bench. So I scoured the net and built this.

Built in mitre saw, drawers on wheels underneath, 2 sliding peg boards for tools, and a few other little tweaks. Bam, got myself a full workbench.

Bought some PVC pipe and am gonna make some type of dust control system with my shop vac. When I stop playing so much lol.

Pretty sweet man. I need to build myself a bench in my garage and we plan on re doing our basement so I will post pics when I am able to get started

Looks awesome man!!!

Hopefully I will do this right so this is partially a test to see if I can download my photo I will start with one see how that goes and following photos will be of the same project

Its a kind of china cabinet looking thing that is used for storage and a display case for a car wash/tire shop that sells air fresheners valve stems visor cd cases ( hey How do you blow up the pic like your examples I know JB would like to see my wood all blown up and in his face).
