Controller Issues

I had this issue before, and now its happened again.

This is my current set up. Microsoft headset I bought at gamestop.

As soon as i plug the adapter into the controller, the controller turns off.

The controller is updated, but It also says to make sure your headset is plugged in when updating.

Well obviously I cant keep headset plugged in because the controller turns off when I plug it in.

Any suggestions or have any of you had this problem before? Last time this happened, it just magically worked again.

Had this problem with my TBs and had to use the standard ones left it a week and worked fine after that... have you tryed putting the cable to update ur controller in and the ur mic???

I have tried every possible way. No battery, just charger chord. I left Xbox unplugged all day to see if it resets

Hard reset the Xbox if you haven't already? That's strange though. If all else fails see what Google has to offer perhaps.

Its working now. I think the adapter is wore out
