BF4 Game Night Idea
Hey Everyone,
I'm only a recruit, so perhaps one of the seasoned members can review this for possible implementation. So I've been thinking of ways to boost turnout on BF4 without putting too much strain on the life balance. Here it goes:
Game Night
-Every weekend we can designate a night in advance, like Fri or Sat where the BF4 CAG's are required to be on. It will be semi-mandatory. So there will be 4 game nights a month.
-We can set a number that can change as the clan grows. Let's start with 5. So if at least 5 CAG's participate all is good and there are no consequences if you did not participate.
-However, if we get less than 5 people turn out we look at the roster to see who didn't show up. If you didn't show up you get a strike.
-What to do with the strikes? Well, just like the baseball cliché goes, three strikes and you are out...of good standing that is. 3 strikes at the end of the month will result in a probation period. This period will require you to prove participation in at least two game nights, and you can't earn any strikes. Failure to meet the conditions of the probation can then result in a termination period where you will have to complete a challenge similar to marksman in a certain amount of time to remain in the clan.
-Exceptions. If you know you are going to be out of action for a while we can have some way of notifying the BF4 CAG's that you will be out of action to avoid penalties.
Hopefully this will be a good way to boost turnout without a mandatory requirement. I'm sure once we all see how fun it is to dominate as a team everyone will be getting on. Please let me know what you think of this idea, and remember everything can be tweaked, this is just an idea.
Thanks,
KYLE117

Re: BF4 Game Night Idea
Oh, I forgot to add. We could also have a strike removal night in the week for those who are jeopardy of three strikes. There would be a requirement of how many members have to be on with you that week night.

Re: BF4 Game Night Idea
i like the idea of a BF4 game day/night for each console however with peoples schedules it will be difficult to have a set time that works for 20 something different people. also we are a casual clan and thus participation shouldn't be mandatory. if you can play then you play. if you can't you can't.

Re: BF4 Game Night Idea
Agreed...I stay CAG because I can't commit to set play times and CAG is more family oriented. That goes for the majority of people.
Props to you for coming forward with your idea tho my friend.

Re: BF4 Game Night Idea
Well, that is why I suggested the relaxed requirements. If 5 people get on, all the other people are off the hook that week. The only way you can strike out for a month is if 3 planned events get 4 or less turn out AND you were not there for all 3 of those events. Essentially, if you make two weekend events regardless of turnout you are safe. Even with a family, work, and social that should be do able. The event doesn't have to be on the weekend if a weekday will get a better turnout. As the BF4 Xbox One roster grows it should become easier. We could even consider moving the goal from 5 people to 4 if we don't have as many active members.

How can you say it's semi-mandatory yet give people strikes for not showing

Re: BF4 Game Night Idea
You don't get a strike if at least 5 or whatever the goal is, people show up for the event. Therefore it's not really mandatory you show for every event.

It's just too grey for me. Over on the cod competitive side, rules are black and white. And me and another guy are getting battlefield and really ain't trying to decipher it. Don't take it Wrong, I like your drive

Re: BF4 Game Night Idea
I just left it gray for more seasoned members and mods to clearly outline in black and white.
It's just an idea to foster a 4-5 people core that get on together most weekends. Once you have that core on most weekends nobody will get strikes.
