So..... I just bought an XP510 headset for $300, and now i realize the damn thing might not work with the Xbox one. Anyone own turtle headphones for a while that might be able to tell me whether i can expect them to make an adapter or something?

Don't worry. They will have the adapter as forementioned.
You shouldn't be too concerned other than the fact that you'll go without a headset on the one until the adapter is created and marketed.
